About the Organization 

Strategic Humanitarian Services (SHUMAS) is a developmental and humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization with main mission to reduce poverty and empower people to realize the fullest of their potentials, without compromising posterity. SHUMAS is seeking a skilled and detail- Cash and livelihood officer to play a critical role in our livelihood projects in the southwest region of Cameroon precisely in Kumba.

Job Summary:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing complex projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø  Project Planning: Develop project plans, including setting goals, objectives, and timelines.

Ø  Project Implementation: Oversee project implementation, ensuring that activities are carried out according to plan.

Ø  Team Management: Manage project teams, including providing guidance, support, and supervision.

Ø  Monitoring and Evaluation: Ensure that project monitoring and evaluation systems are in place, and that data is collected and analyzed to inform project decisions.

Ø  Donor Reporting: Ensure that donor reports are submitted on time and meet donor requirements.

Ø  Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community members.

Ø  Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project implementation.

Requirements:

Ø  Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, business administration, development studies).

Ø  Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in project management, with experience managing complex projects and teams.

Skills:

Ø  Strong project management skills, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.

Ø  Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ø  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ø  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ø  Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).

Personal Qualities:

Ø  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ø  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ø  Certifications: Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an asset.

Ø  Experience with donor-funded projects: Experience managing donor-funded projects and reporting requirements.

Ø  Knowledge of development sector: Familiarity with the development sector and current trends.
