Volunteering
Background
In a world where work experience cannot be overemphasized, many students and young graduates find it difficult to fit into the job market after successfully completing their studies. Their lack of skilled labor, due to the absence of work experience, presents significant challenges. To address this, SHUMAS offers young graduates and interested individuals the opportunity to foster their skills through voluntary services. They are given the opportunity to gain skills in different departments within the organization.
Objective
Empower, incorporate, and build young graduates and interested individuals with necessary skills to become professionals.
Achievements
Provided more than 300 international and 1200 national volunteers with opportunities to work in various departments, gaining skills in fundraising, advocacy, capacity building, and administration, among others.
Challenge
There is limited funds to motivate volunteers and interns. However, SHUMAS aims to continue providing interns and volunteers with opportunities to build their skills in preparation for the job market.
