Nyuydzeyuf Parfait
My name is Nyuydzeyuf Parfait, son of Kuhlon Marcel Nyuydzeyuf and Fonbe Nancy. Within the ongoing crisis, I was schooling in GS Mbabu Nseh II in Nkum sub division of the North West region of Cameroon. My father was a taxi driver while my mother is a mere peasant farmer.
Within the ongoing socio-political crisis in the NW/SW regions of Cameroon, insecurities were on the rise and many drivers died due to stray bullets during confrontations between the NSAGs (Non-state Armes Groups) and the SSFs (State Security Fighters). With this, my father could no longer continue with his job due to fear of the unknown. He then joined my mother in the farm which was the lone source of livelihood. Life became very difficult with no money to register me in school talk less of paying tuition fee and providing me with exercise books and text books.
Having heard of the assistance SHUMAS Cameroon is rendering to the underprivileged, and restoring hope to the hopeless, my parents then sent an application letter, for me to be enrolled into the SHUMAS Scholarship scheme.
The Director General of SHUMAS-Cameroon admitted me into the program since 2019. SHUMAS did not only pay my tuition fee but provided me with shelter, food, clothing and WASH equipment. This alone gave me a stable mind to study, given that I no longer have to fear being evicted for not paying fees.
Today I have succeeded in my exams and gained promotion from form three to four in GBHS Bamendankwe thanks to SHUMAS Cameroon. I shall forever remain grateful to SHUMAS management, her staffs and donors. Pray that I should be kept in the scholarship scheme as through it my dreams in life will be accomplished. Thanks a lot SHUMAS-Cameroon.
