Seri Christabel Kidzenwah
My name is Seri Christabel Kidzenwah, an orphan under the SHUMAS scholarship scheme. When I was in primary school, my mother was a mere subsistence farmer living from hand to mouth. Life became very challenging when I succeeded with first school and common entrance examination.
We heard of SHUMAS and how she is helping youths achieve their dreams in life. My mother then tabled an application for assistance to SHUMAS and it was granted.
Since form one, I have been under the SHUMAS-scholarship scheme where I began my secondary school studies in GBHS Kimbo in Kumbo sub division in Bui Division of the North West region of Cameroon.
In 2018 the NSAGs ordered the closure of schools in Bui Division most especially the Government schools. It became challenging on my part as I could not have money to pay in private schools that are very expensive.
The director of SHUMAS relocated me from Kumbo to Bamenda where I continued form four in GBHS Bamendankwe. I succeeded from form four to five and later proceeded to upper sixth. Now, I am a holder of the GCE “A” Levels with 5-Papers, 3A grades and 3B Grades.
I wish to pursue my dreams in life by continuing with education in the university. On my own, I cannot do anything. I plead on SHUMAS-Cameroon to allow me in the scholarship scheme such that I can achieve my dreams in life and continue to help others. Thanks very much for making me see a reason of living when all hope was lost. I shall forever remain grateful.
