Fighting Childhood Malnutrition in Logone et Chari

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Nutritional Screening Campaign in Logone et Chari, supported by UNICEF and implemented by SHUMAS!

On February 20, we kicked off this crucial initiative across 12 health areas and 20 health facilities in three Health Districts — Kouserri, Mada, and Goulfey.

Our dedicated team of 225 community health workers is going door-to-door to provide essential health services to vulnerable families.

Mission Objectives:

• Raise awareness about malnutrition
• Screen children aged 6–59 months
• Identify cases of acute malnutrition
• Refer affected children for life-saving treatment

With rigorous supervision and real-time data management, we ensure that every child receives the care they need. This campaign is a vital community response to combat childhood malnutrition and give every child a healthy start.
