As we approach the finish line of our intensive five-day Case Management training which commenced on Tuesday, Day 4 marked a pivotal moment in mastering survivor-centered interventions. With the training set to conclude tomorrow, today's sessions built directly upon a week of foundational learning to equip practitioners with highly practical skills. The agenda for the day, focused heavily on the technical execution of survivor care, transition protocols, and specialized response frameworks.
The morning commenced with a rigorous exploration of GBV Case Management Steps 4, 5, and 6: Implementation, Follow-up, and Case Closure. This session allowed practitioners to move beyond initial intake procedures into the active, long-term phases of care. Participants unpacked how to effectively coordinate multi-sectoral services, safely monitor a survivor’s ongoing progress, and responsibly navigate the case closure process while keeping the survivor's safety and autonomy at the center of all decisions.
Following a brief break, the last part of the day was dedicated entirely to an extensive, two-part focus on GBV Case Management Responses to Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence for Women and Adolescent Girls. This critical block allowed participants to analyze the complex power dynamics of domestic abuse, develop tailored safety plans, and establish age-appropriate care pathways for vulnerable adolescent girls. The day concluded with a comprehensive review and wrap-up session, leaving our community of practitioners deeply motivated and uniquely prepared for tomorrow's final day of training.
